Callwith.Me: Call From Your Favorite Browser

Today it’s easy to avoid additional costs for talking over your gadget. If you have a mobile phone or computer and internet connection, you’ll just need some kind of VoIP service. Install a program and/or some additional plug-ins and you’re good to go.
However you’ll need to start program or go to the certain website every time to start your VoIP call. Many of them are limited in a way that the person you want talk to needs to have the same program and kind of gadget you’re using. That is where CallWith.me hops in.
How Does It Work?
CallWith.Me is a platform that makes voice and video calls on the web as easy as they can be. It works inside the browser and you can add it to your own website. Users can call browser to browser, but it does not stop there. You can also call phone numbers and mobile applications.
There are a lot of VoIP solutions, so why should you choose this one? For starters, any of them, to my knowledge, don’t provide you with any additional revenue (later about that) and almost none of them support making calls to landlines and mobile phones. Many of them don’t work from browsers, or as previously mentioned, need additional custom client software. CallWith.me can save your data traffic costs because it runs on their servers, and it provides a mobile SDK.
What About That Revenue?
If you add it to your website, CallWith.Me can become your new source of profit and can turn your website into virtual telephony operator. This can be very useful if your business needs constant communication, but you are not satisfied with prices of current mobile operator or you’re not satisfied with lack of versatility of current VoIP services.
Additional revenue comes in by charging your users for minutes spent talking. Since you control all the rates you can make it as pricey as you want. If you make it cheaper than current services your users are utilizing, there are big chances that they will reroute to your service, creating you additional income. It can be used with your existing billing infrastructure so your users can buy tokens that they can use to talk to other users.
Oh No, The Other Party Is Offline!
It’s versatility comes in handy when you’re not able to talk browser to browser, but for example browser to mobile phone. Users can accept calls online or on their mobile phones when they are offline. User’s number is never disclosed on site or to the caller, so you can be sure that your identity is not compromised. It is not limited to voice calls only, you can chat and make video calls.
You need to wait a bit to get it. You’ll need to contact CallWith.Me through their site and wait a bit to get a response. Then all you need to do is to use their API, put code where it needs to be and your work is done. In the demo version that I used, interface is simple, there is no confusion where is what. There is always ”how to” video. However, there is a bit of latency that can become annoying and several other buggy things, but messaging, and voice call are crystal clear.
In conclusion, CallWith.Me is a service that has room to grow and is shows great potential to become a big player on the VoIP playground. Additional revenue always sounds good, and interface for end users is plug-and-play simple, which is always a big plus in my books. If you want more info about the service, we’ll have interview with its founder Luka Hajdin in a couple of days, so stay tuned!
