Unroll.Me: Get Only The Most Important Newsletters… Get Rid of the Rest [Invites]

Unroll.Me is a service which will clean up your email inbox from hundreds of newsletters you’re currently subscribed to. If you’re even a bit of a lifehacker, you’ve probably set up different filters in your Gmail account so that those newsletters don’t bug you straight from the inbox, but still, you have tens of useless email messages you have to go through.
What’s even worse, you probably don’t even read those newsletters, right? But you’re too lazy to grab them by the neck and unsubscribe from them. Thanks to the Unroll.Me team, you’ll revolutionize your newsletter habbits in just a click.
Get Unroll.Me Invites – Now!
Since Unroll.Me is still in a private beta, you’ll need to get an invite to try it out. We’ve managed to get 5 invites from Unroll.Me, so if you want to try it out, just leave a comment on this post with your email address and we’ll send it to you ASAP.
To use Unroll.Me, you’ll have to have a Gmail, Yahoo! or an AOL Mail account and you’ll have to allow it to access your email account. Please note that the email address for the invite should be on Gmail only!
How exactly does this work? Unroll.Me will scan your inbox and find all the newsletters you’re subscribed to. You’ll be able to unsubscribe from them in a beautiful interface, and leave the ones you really want to read. Now, you’ve got 2 choices: you can leave the remaining subscriptions as they are, or – you can add them to a list called Rollup.

Rollup will take all the newsletters you’ve got in there and send a single newsletter at the time of the day you specify; it means you’ll get all your newsletters (the ones you really want) in a nice digest form. If you need to get to the original newsletter, you can do so from the Rollup.
Unsubscribe, Rollup, Discover
Unroll.Me has a nicely designed interface consisting of three main parts: subscription list, rollup preview and recommended tab. The subscription list contains all the newsletters Unroll.Me could find with two buttons on the side: Unsubscribe and Add to rollup. Rollup will give you preview of how your daily newsletter digest will look like.
The Discover/Recommended tab will give you a couple of newsletters you could add to your Rollup, and this looks like a perfect spot for a ad-based business model; just like Twitter sells its featured tweets, Unroll.Me could do the same with these recommended subscriptions.

Once you’ve done with setting up your rollup, just pick the delivery time (morning, afternoon or evening) and that’s it – your email inbox will be grateful. There is a catch though, in order to unsubscribe from more than 5 newsletters, you’ll have to tweet about Unroll.Me or share it via email (irony?) or Facebook. However, it’s a small price to pay for a great and free service.
If you want to test out Unroll.Me and clean up your newsletter subscriptions, leave a comment with your email (remember, Gmail only) and we’ll send the invites to the first 5 of you!
