Endorphin.Me: Hire New People Through Extensive Social Data

3 min read,

If you are working in ICT, chances are you or your company are always looking for new people to hire, especially those with wide array of both practical and theoretical skills. Many companies tend to have a special “jobs” section on their website, as well as run constant campaigns through different hiring platforms. All of this means that the potential employee has all the power, whereas employers are just sitting by the phone.

Sure, LinkedIn has made recruitment easier but it’s far from perfect when it comes to core searching. One Ukrainian startup is looking to change this by using some cleaver technology most of us use on everyday basis – social networks!

Say hi to Endorphin.Me!

This Kiev-based startup was founded last year and essentially it’s a big data scoring cloud-based platform with Open API for digital footprints evaluation. In English, it scans through your friends and followers connections in order to provide you with extensive data on particular expert or professional. By using Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Foursquare, Endorphin.Me is able to give its users a list of potential new employees based on their previous work experience, education and everyday activities.

By suggesting the industry and the location one is interested in, the service will provide them with lists of names which are mostly consisted of 1st and 2nd connections. It will compose a short profile on every person, along with profile picture and basic data. Users are able to contact them straight from the app, or they can use the advantage of mutual friend which can introduce them to one another.

How’s it going so far?

At the beginning of 2013, Endorphin.Me received $250,000 US dollars in funding from a U.S. VC company called Untitled. The startup is looking to use funds for the technical development of infrastructure, promotion on the U.S. market and further API testing.

Team behind Endorphin.Me has visited the United States as a part of BlackBox Connect accelerator program in which they have participated. This startup was also named one of the Top 30 Ukrainian startups, and it had the opportunity to pitch on the TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco where it received very good reviews.

So far, the team has engaged in development of the first release and is actively looking for additional investment for the second round. For more information about this startup visit their official website, as well as their Facebook page. The future of hiring new people is just around the corner!
