Monzo.me Is The Bank For Your Smartphone

Monzo.me Is The Bank For Your Smartphone

We all love getting paid, and there’s really no way of going around that. What makes the process of sending and receiving money somewhat troublesome is the process itself; you often need complex credentials and, depending on your country – there’s really no way of doing it without getting your bank involved. That’s okay, but sometimes you just want to send a quick payment for a tiny thing to your friend or split the bill. What happens then?

Well, there’s no real reason to be upset, to be honest. There’s a lot of variety when it comes to money, but one of the apps that stands out is Monzo.me. Monzo.me is a bank for your phone that helps you send and receive money through your Monzo account, without any of the hassles of banking apps that are notoriously hostile to the user.

The reason we’re even talking about using an app to send money is that, well, we’re living in a time that’s not so simple anymore, and the usage of smartphone apps for literally anything is really how things work these days. The problems arise when the banking systems that have been around for quite a lot try and adapt to the times.

This is great, because banks have the money, the manpower, and the influence to really create something great for your phone, right? Well, almost. You see, when you’re a part of such a large enterprise, like a bank, you need to follow rules that, in the end, result in making the apps for banks slightly complex and hard to use. Be it the fact that you need to go through the entire process of getting access to the app at your bank, or the fact that you need to visit the bank if you change your phone, it’s not bad per se, but it isn’t that great either.

It’s Not The Banks’ Fault

This is, however, natural. Banks need to be as secure as possible, and their apps need to be able to lock up all of your info behind a solid wall of passwords so that nobody can steal your cash if they get a hold of your phone, which is great for your main accounts where you receive your paycheck.

Monzo.me helps you send and receive money through your Monzo account, without any of the hassles of banking apps that are notoriously hostile to the user.

There’s a host of apps, however, that you can use in combination with your banking app to make your life a bit easier. Apps can be used to make small payments from the app account itself. One of the more popular apps for this is Payoneer, which enables freelancers to bypass all of the paperwork that goes with working for a foreign client and just get paid for their work. Of course, you still need to pay your taxes, but you’re making your life just a tad easier.

Using a dedicated “bank app” is beneficial in more ways than that, though. You can use the app to make payments, but some apps will also advise you on your spending habits and tell you all sorts of data so that you know how’s the money situation like. There’s also the benefit of simply not having to worry about complex account numbers and all that, you simply pay what you want to the person of your choice and it’s done.

Monzo.me Will Help You Pay Smart

Monzo.me is an app that provides you with help on all of these fronts. It’s actually marketed as a “bank of the future” that will offer you things that your good old regular bank simply doesn’t. The features are pretty cool, too:

  • You get instant spending notifications on your smartphone, as well as a tooltip of how much you’ve spent that day.
  • You get budget breakdowns that tell you where did your money go, be it groceries or bills.
  • You can freeze your Monzo card through the app in a second, and all purchases everywhere are free of added costs.
  • You can pay whoever you’d like in seconds, be it for dinner or a birthday.

You see, ideas like these are the things that really set apps designed to solve problems in contrast to the apps designed by banks. The apps are available on both Android and Apple devices, and you can really set accounts up in seconds. The best thing is that you don’t really have to worry about your money; just put some money on your Monzo card, and live life as before, with the added benefit of having all sorts of smart goodies at your side.

You can still keep your old bank account and use it, or perhaps divide your money into two or three accounts for different things, but Monzo will always be there when you need a smart-looking and smooth-operating banking app that won’t make you insane.

It’s cool that way.
