When it comes to social networking, we want it now, we want it fast and we want it simple. If it is too complicated or there are too many unnecessary steps, our short attention span will go away. However, sometimes there are things that we want and need and sometimes social networks don’t give it to us. For example Instagram and computer browsing. It is primarily an app and it works perfectly on your smartphone, but when it comes to computers and browsers, things get a little less pretty. That is where Pinsta.Me kicks in.

So what is Pinsta.Me exactly? It is a place where you can browse Instagram in your web browser and it has been online since 2012. With it you can view popular photos, user’s profiles and photos, search Instagram, comment, like and share photos and follow other users. There have many satisfied customers and it is easy and straightforward to use. It reminds a bit of Pinterest (hence the name), but that is a good thing
You can adjust your settings, so you can have small, medium or large pictures, with full descriptions or just compact version. Searching is easy. By one click you can view popular, random or newest pictures, or you can browse by channels: food, fashion, pets, art, etc. Of course you can search by typing in your keywords, but have in mind that you will be able to search only what is publicly available.
How Does It Work?
Pinsta.Me uses Instagram’s public API (Application Programming Interface) to get Instagram’s public data, the data includes photos, likes, comments and others. Since Instagram publishes its API, any programmer can build various services based on Instagram’s content. That is how Pinsta.Me came to life. It is a 3rd party website so they show content from public accounts. They do not own any of Instagram’s data or any user’s account, and accordingly they can’t modify or remove any of Instagram content permanently.
Since it is a 3rd party website and they do not manage your account, if you have problems, for example that you can’t delete your Instagram account, follow users, like or comment or any other similar problem, you will have to contact Instagram. However, you can remove your profile from Pinsta.Me anytime you want.
