u:Plug.Me Gets A $100K Power Boost From 11.Me
U:Plug, a Croatian-Macedonian startup that dared us to imagine a world where we don’t need a whole bunch of cables and plugs and adapters to charge our pet electronics, just got a whole lot closer to making that happen.
But let’s not get carried away in the cordless dreamland, we’ll have to wait a bit more for that. What this Croatian—Macedonian team does is a next generation electric plug with 2 high performing USB plugs, as well as near to perfect charging curve and intelligent charging cycles to prevent stress-charging and preserve the battery health.
It also comes with a nifty Power Stand, a special cradle to keep your gadgets secured and ventilated, and a Power Light which tells you what level your battery’s at. Oh, and it’s pretty (call me shallow, but I appreciate that in any piece of tech or appliance that enters my home).
Smart Money For a Smart Outlet
Skipping ahead to the important news now – u:Plug recently announced that it has raised collectively 100 000 dollars from our friends at Eleven Accelerator Venture Fund to fuel the product launch, start manufacturing and boost sales to markets across Europe.
This is one of the first startups in Eleven’s cohort to get follow-up funding, noted Ivan Jelušić, co-founder of u:Plug:
We are extremely happy with the latest round of investment in our company. This both confirms the potential and trust we receive from our backers in the product and the team. We are going to use this round to speedup the time to market, start manufacturing and fuel our sales and marketing strategy. Our goal to reimagine the power outlet for the smart age is so ever strong and we are on the right track to make traditional chargers obsolete.
But the investment’s not the only good news around:
At this moment we have close to 30 000 pre orders from distributors across the Europe. We are making partnerships on distribution channels on daily basis.

u:Plug is also expanding their team with production managers and sales persons, and they are about to start the production. The outlet should be out and available in the next couple of months, and it will be labeled “Made in Europe”.
The team aims to develop a new quality brand of electronic that will be recognised for its novel approach, and they are working hard on a whole new range of products to be announced after the u:Plug is released:
