EasySize.Me and Fojo.Me Rock The Lady Pitch Night Competiton

2 min read,

Lady Pitch Night – a pan-European competition where women startup founders get to show just how awesome they are – took place last week . This year, 178 startups from 22 different countries applied for and we are immensely proud that two of the 5 selected finalists were .me startups we’ve featured on our blog.

The Lady Pitch Night competition is a startup competition open to all companies headquartered in a European country (or Israel) with at least one female founder and between 6 and 36 months of existence. Startups are judged based on the innovation and technical component of their business, in addition to their overall development.

One of the finalists was a combo software-hardware startup Fojo.Me that is set at bringing the magic of analog photography back to the digital age. It consists of the Enfojer system designed to turn any smartphone into an LCD projector and enlarge analog photo prints directly from the screen.

It uses the traditional darkroom and has all the awesomeness of the classic photo development process, but it replaces bulky and heavy photo enlargement equipment with a hipsterish smartphone driven device. Fear not, it can also be used to develop the good old analog film, using the phone’s light to shine through traditional negatives as an intelligent and customisable light source.

It also comes with a handy Fojo app, which currently has around 20.000 beta users who can add some flair to their snaps using live filters with rich Photoshop-level adjustments.

Everyone Is A Winner… But EasySize.Me Won The First Place 🙂

The winner of the competition was Easysize.Me, a service for defining clothes sizes and decreasing returns at online-shops that helps online-shops save money and offers their clients a new shopping experience. EasySize can be integrated to an online-shop in less than an hour and the technology analyses a given customers order records and defines a desired brand’s size. The only thing an online-shopper has to do is to add a brand size of any piece of clothing they own.

The other startup finalists with amazing women founders were Cocofarm from Bulgaria, French Gemmyo, and Cortechs from Dublin, Ireland.

Ladies, keep rocking, keep pitching and show just how awesome you and your companies are!
