.ME procedure for April and May Auctions

The following procedure apply to April and May Auctions of domains not allocated during Sunrise and Land Rush auctions unless otherwise indicated.

The Registrant will apply for the auction through one of the following Registrars:

Registrar will send the application to the Registry according to the technical specification.

Registrant will be notified of the auction site URL and credentials (via email) that must be used prior to the start of the auction to establish a qualified bidder’s account.

Auctions last 7 days starting:

1. for the first auction Apr 23 thru Apr 29, list of names
2. for the second auction May 14 thru May 20, list of names

The minimum opening bid is $100 (one-hundred USD) for the first auction and $75 (seventy-five USD) for the second auction. Minimum increment is 5 USD. Minimum registration is one year.

Bidding in an auction:

1. Applicants may place a maximum bid and a proxy service will automatically bid for them.
2. Alternatively, applicants may place a fixed bid in real time at the next bid increment level.

The winning bidder, the Registrant contact (if different), and its Registrar will be notified via email.

The winning bidder will have 72 hours to arrange payment through the auction platform via credit card or wire transfer.

The winning bidder should allow 72 hours for the payment to be validated. If there are any issues with payment validation the winning bidder will be notified and allowed sufficient time to rectify any such issues.

After the payment has been validated the name will be registered under the management of the submitting Registrar and allocated to the Registrant as listed in the application.

Incomplete Auctions

An Incomplete Auction is one in which no bids are received from invited bidders, or no validated payment is received from the winning bidders. In either event, .ME Registry reserves the right to determine the best course of action in each case.

Fraudulent Activity

Any auction in which fraudulent activity is suspected will be immediately suspended and/or may be declared null and void. In either event, .ME Registry reserves the right to determine the best course of action in each case, which may include, but is not limited to, any of the following:

1. Rescind the allocated name.
2. Reschedule the auction.
3. Pursue further investigation and prosecution.
4. Consider it an Incomplete Auction.

April Auction:

Apr 06 (00:00:00 UTC) thru Apr 20 (23:59:59 UTC) - Registrars collect and submit applications.

Apr 22 – Notifications sent to participants from auction platform.

Apr 23 thru Apr 29 - Auctions held.

May Auction:

Apr 27 (00:00:00 UTC) to May 11(23:59:59 UTC) - Registrars collect and submit applications.

May 13 - Notifications sent to participants from auction platform.

May 14 thru May 20 - Auction held.
